Isolating responsibilities in this way results in far less effective work, because feedback and cross-pollination of ideas between groups of people is impeded. When the client is excluded from the brand process vision is blurred and objectives lost.

Equally, brand strategy lacking input from designers may be intellectually sound, but it can be near impossible to visually translate limiting opportunities for ideas, resulting in style-based ‘vanilla’ design lacking in substance.
