Inspirational Christmas Greetings by graphic designers.
Ah, the studio Christmas greeting – the job every designer dreads! Countless hours are spent every year thinking about this seemingly straightforward task in an effort to be original and clever.
But how can you be original with something so fundamentally clichéd? Of course, the answer is it's always possible to be original, especially with clichés. It takes is lateral thinking and visual sleight-of-hand to turn the cliché on its head and make the audience think differently about santa and his reindeers.
We've delved into our dusty archives for this collection of personal favourites that've made us say "I wish I'd thought of that!". It's far from exhaustive, but it contains some moments of sheer genius to help inspire a jaded designer or two.
Where the work is uncredited, we'd be delighted to add a link – just let us know. A few images have been pilfered from the pages of the seminal design book "A Smile in the Mind" by Beryl McAlhone and David Stuart – required reading for those wanting to learn more about design thinking.
